As part of DesignPhiladelphia 2025, we are proud to present two signature exhibitions curated, designed, and produced by ASLA PA - DE, Landscape Architecture Foundation, SALT Design Studio, OLIN, Adam Denard, Ben Berlekamp, DesignPhiladelphia staff, local Landscape Architecture firms and allied organizations across Philadelphia. A true community effort.
From October 1-12, 2025, you can experience two landscape architecture exhibitions at the Center for DesignPhiladelphia, an exhibition launch reception on October 7th at the Center for DesignPhiladelphia, and various events hosted by Landscape Architecture Firms and allied orgs. Those events are listed here and in the overall Festival Schedule. Lastly, this website will stick around because all of the projects included in the Outside In exhibition, are featured here digitally.
Outside In: An Exploration of Landscape Architecture
This year’s exhibit celebrates all that lends to the dynamic discipline of landscape architecture from national and international recognized projects, historic conservation practices, and to the legacy of local firms. Most importantly, this exhibition demonstrates the breadth of work that landscape architects do, in an effort to clarify and illuminate the diversity of work within the purview of landscape architects.
Projects will be organized by landscape typologies—urban parks, plazas, healing gardens, and waterfronts—highlighting unique design approaches. A timeline will trace key milestones in the profession’s evolution. Check out exhibition listing on Festival Schedule here.
Design is Inclusive: Explore the Transformational Work of 49 Landscape Architecture Foundation Fellows
As we confront increasingly complex and interrelated environmental, social, and economic challenges of the 21st century, the Landscape Architecture Foundation's Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership brings together a diverse group of landscape architecture professionals to develop and test new ideas in support of a healthier, more equitable, and sustainable world. It is an entrepreneurial investment in the people and ideas that will drive the future of the profession.
The $25,000 fellowship is an opportunity for landscape architecture professionals to dedicate the equivalent of 3 months’ time over the course of one year to nurture emerging ideas and to think deeply. It is designed as a time to reflect, research, explore, create, test, and develop ideas into action. This exhibition highlights the work of the 49 senior, mid-career, and emerging professionals who have been named LAF Fellows since the program began in 2017. We invite you to scan the QR codes to learn more about how landscape architects--and the LAF Fellows in particular--are tackling the world's challenges from a landscape perspective.
Join us in honoring the past, present, and future of landscape architecture at DesignPhiladelphia 2025. Check out exhibition listing on Festival Schedule here.
