Growth by Design is DesignPhiladelphia’s business workshop series, presented in partnership with the City of Philadelphia Department of Commerce, created to support creative entrepreneurs in building sustainable, successful businesses. Designed specifically for designers and creative professionals, the program bridges the gap between creativity and commerce by providing practical tools in branding, financial management, legal structures, and emerging technologies like AI.

Through a series of free, accessible workshops, Growth by Design equips participants, particularly women-and minority-owned businesses, with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to grow their revenue, strengthen operations, and expand their impact. Ultimately, Growth by Design advancesDesignPhiladelphia’s mission to foster an inclusive, multidisciplinary design community while contributing to a more equitable and resilient creative economy in Philadelphia.
