Greetings design enthusiasts! We have exciting news to share. The well-known Center for Architecture and Design has evolved, and we're now DesignPhiladelphia! We're still committed to fostering a vibrant design community, but we're expanding our reach from K through career across design disciplines to ensure we're cultivating excellence, inclusivity, and connections for everyone.
Formerly the Center for Architecture and Design, our nonprofit organization has transformed into DesignPhiladelphia, and our space has been renamed the Center for DesignPhiladelphia. We're thrilled to welcome eight design associations as our In Residence Partners, joining our anchor tenants, AIA Philadelphia and the Community Design Collaborative.
DesignPhiladelphia is more than just a name; it's a hub for the city's design community. We will continue hosting Design Advocacy Group Meetings, PhilaNOMA programs and events, and the monthly Creative Mornings program. Our goal is to create a space that encourages collaboration, innovation, and design excellence.
Our Design Education programs are dedicated to significantly increasing access to design education for K-12 students in Philadelphia. It is evident that the design and construction industry lacks diversity, which is why one of our main objectives is to raise awareness among BIPOC and Latinx students about the incredible career opportunities available. Join us in this exciting journey of empowering the next generation of designers and builders!
In celebration of our transformation, we're inviting you to our Brand Launch Party on February 8th at the Center for DesignPhiladelphia, located at 1218 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Register here before we're sold out!
We look forward to continuing our journey together in creating a Philadelphia that is designed for and by everyone.
