Parallel Edge, Inc. was founded in 1996 when we realized that there was a large gap in the Technical Support industry for Architects, Engineers and Construction companies.  

Currently, Parallel Edge is a solid, established IT company. We are well known in the AEC industry in the Greater Philadelphia area. We pride ourselves on our longevity with both our clients and our employees. Our first client is still our client and refers us to other AEC companies on a regular basis.  

At Parallel Edge, we know that in the ever-changing world of Information Technology it is important to stay current on all emerging technologies. We encourage continued education within the company. We attend tradeshows, peer groups, do on line training and acquire certifications on a regular basis so that we can be on par with, or often ahead of our competition.

IT Consulting: Primarily, we are trusted advisors to our clients. We listen, consult, and work with each client to help them develop a technology strategy that is specific to their unique business needs. Although we do sell hardware and software, we position ourselves for a long-term, consultative relationship with each of our clients. 

Managed Services: Parallel Edge provides Managed Services which includes, but is not limited to, remote patching of servers, software updates, and a system which alerts us to failing hardware and software. We are also alerted if a client’s server fails or is disconnected from the internet. This service allows us to be pro-actively manage our clients. 

Cloud Services: We offer a wide range of cloud services, including Hosted Exchange, Offsite Backup and Remote Desktop Management. 

Security Expertise: We offer security training and provide a range of products to enhance a company’s cyber security, depending on their needs. We offer security audits, as well as Security Training.  We continually and actively educate ourselves, and our clients, on current IT security trends and new security products. 

Vendor Management: Clients are often too busy to manage all their various IT related vendors, such as VOIP phone vendors, internet providers, software vendors, etc. Parallel Edge manages and tracks all the different vendor relationships for their clients. 

Hardware and Software Products: Parallel Edge is a reseller for various IT related products and services. We have well-established relationships with vendors such as Dell, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, Synnex and Microsoft, to name a few. We have the expertise to design networks specifically for the AEC industry.  

VCIO Service: We will be your VCIO, helping you set short-, medium- and long-term goals, create budgets, manage inventory, review licenses, and plan strategic security upgrades. We will schedule recurring meetings with you and your team to keep you moving forward and able to focus on your business, not your IT challenges.
