Hoffman Design Group is pleased to be back at the Cherry Street Pier for the 2023 Design Philadelphia Festival.  In previous years, we have explored different approaches to spatial design using horticulture.  This year we are excited to offer a new approach to an immersive display we are calling, “Botanical Uprising”.

Inspiration for this year’s design sprang from our interest in the spaces where concrete meets soil. The limitations of the urban oasis have become clearer as climate change progresses.  The city experiences higher temperatures than the suburbs, and we’re interested in using biophilia as a design-forward mitigation tool.  This installation highlights the marriage of eco-friendliness and elegance, proving that design can be both opulent and responsible.
