For one day, Old City’s 3rd Street will become an outdoor celebration of art, design, craft, culture, and community.

As part of DesignPhiladelphia, local businesses, artists, designers, and makers will bring their creative practices outside through installations, workshops, live demonstrations, interactive experiences, performances, music, and more. Visitors can wander the street, meet local creatives, discover new work, take part in an activity, or simply enjoy the energy of the neighborhood coming together.

Families can also experience DesignPhiladelphia Kids Fest, a free opportunity to connect with local makers and creative educational programs. Kids Fest partners, including The Free Library, Magic Gardens, Mission Arts, and more, will offer free interactive activities for children that combine educational programming with Philadelphia’s celebration of 250 years of culture, craft, and design.

With each participating business bringing its own unique activation, the day will offer a collective celebration of Old City and its creative community, with something for visitors of all ages to explore.
